IPA
Attn : [IPA Employee] Dear [IPA Employee] Seventeen years ago I started [IPA Client] on what I thought was a good idea and a understanding of what a material supplier should be. Making sales was never a problem and throughout those years I've had some very expensive "business lessons" all learned the hard way. As we entered our 2005-2006 fiscal year sales again were strong but our internal processes and procedures were in chaos and getting worse with each increase in sales. Profits were at a minimum and cash flow was not good. As a business owner I knew I needed to make changes and knew where I wanted my company to be but the path to get there was unclear and I did not have the time or the resources to make a poor decision. Enter IPA, when first presented with the length and cost of the engagement I was staggered. But I knew I needed the best help money could buy so I engaged IPA to a complete re-organization of [IPA Client Business Name]. [IPA Consultant] and [IPA Consultant] were assigned to the engagement. Two very different personalities but worked together with respect for each other and my staff. They divided the work well and each went after their parts of the engagement with intensity and precision. At the end of our twenty-week engagement [IPA Client Business Name] is a very different company. We have processes and procedures for everything we do. Senior management communication is excellent. Accounts receivable is down over one million dollars through new collection procedures, inventory is down over one million dollars through better buying procedures and inventory controls to maximize inventory turns. The combination of these two improvements has lowered accounts payable by almost one and one-half million dollars. Needless to say cash flow has greatly improved. I feel the staff is at least thirty percent more efficient today that before the engagement. Overtime is now almost non-existent. The staff feels much more secure about what their job descriptions are and how to produce at optimal levels. I count this engagement a success. Both [IPA Consultant] and [IPA Consultant] are considered friends and mentors. IPA is lucky to have such consultants on staff. Thank you [IPA Consultant] and [IPA Consultant] for showing me the path I was looking for to take my business where I always knew it could go.
